Usual reporting verbs - Page 2
Ciertos verbos son muy frecuentes a la hora de reportar: say, tell, ask, admit, agree, answer, invite, complain. He -asked- where you had put his book.

| request | "Excuse me, Madam. Could I use your telephone for a minute?" He requested permission to use the woman's telephone |
| remind | "Hey Bill. Don't forget to mail this letter today!" Jack reminded Bill that he had to mail a letter that day |
| describe | "The house is white. It has three bedrooms and a beautiful garden" He described his house |
| confess | "I must tell you something Jane... I love you with all my heart" He confessed that he loved her |
| blame | "It was your fault that I couldn't arrive on time" The girl blamed the boy for her arriving late |
to offer (ófer) - ofrecer
- Sue: "I can help you with that Math problem if you want"
Sue: "Yo te puedo ayudar con ese problema de matemática si quieres" - She offered to help me with the Math problem
Ella me ofreció ayuda con el problema de matemática
to suggest (sadchést) - sugerir
- Bill: "It's a nice day. We could go to the country and have a picnic"
Bill: "Es un lindo día. Podríamos ir al campo y hacer un picnic" - He suggested that we have a picnic
Él sugirió que hiciéramos un picnic
to demand (dimánd) - exigir
- Angry customer: "I want to see the manager of this company immediately!"
Cliente enojado: "¡Quiero ver al gerente de esta empresa inmediatamente!" - The man demanded to see the manager of the company

to request (rikuést) - solicitar
- Joe: "Excuse me, Madam. Could I use your telephone for a minute?"
Joe: "Discúlpeme, señora. ¿Podría usar su teléfono un minuto? - He requested permission to use the woman's telephone

to remind (rimáind) - hacer acordar
- Jack: "Hey, Bill. Don't forget to mail this letter today!"
Jack: "Oye, Bill. ¡No te olvides de enviar esta carta hoy!" - Jack reminded Bill to mail a letter that day

to describe (diskráib) - describir
- George: "The house is white. It has three bedrooms and a beautiful garden"
George: "La casa es blanca. Tiene tres habitaciones y un hermoso jardín" - He described his house
Él describió su casa
to confess (konfés) - confesar
- Pete: "I must tell you something, Jane... I love you with all my heart"
Pete: "Debo decirte algo, Jane... Te amo con todo mi corazón" - He confessed that he loved her
Él confesó que la amaba
to blame (bléim) - culpar
- Betty: "It was your fault that I couldn't arrive on time"
Betty: "Fue tu culpa que yo no pudiera llegar a tiempo" - The girl blamed the boy for her arriving late
